I’ve always known that walking alongside others during difficult times has been a passion and a gift of mine. My background is in social work, which has allowed me to serve patients with dementia, chronic health conditions, and those in hospice care, along with their families and loved ones. I've also worked with families pursuing foster care and adoption. Being a social worker has given me the tools to utilize a holistic approach for each person and all of my social work experience led to working in outpatient mental health, where I worked at a large group practice and was able to realize my passion for therapy with individuals. After taking a break from outpatient mental health to focus on my family and other areas I felt called to, I have jumped back into the mental health field through Grounded Hope Counseling. I consider it a privilege to be able to walk alongside individuals who put in the work to get to a place of hope, acceptance and healing so that they can be who they were created to be without letting the heaviness that life can bring interfere with day to day living.
